(Don’t worry if there are some unfamiliar words in the text—we will send you a mini vocabulary booklet. But since my lessons are conducted mostly in Japanese, I will be speaking in Japanese from the start of the Beginner 2 course, using sentence structures like these.

As the lessons progress, the Japanese sentence patterns and vocabulary I use with you will gradually increase. But I will only use the vocabulary and sentence patterns that you have already learned, so it won’t be too difficult. If you don’t understand the sentences above at all, we recommend joining the Beginner 1 course starting in June (5-week course). By completing this Beginner 1 course, you will be able to fully understand all the sentences written here. Please sign up for the waiting list from the Beginner 1 course page.

In Beginner 1, we mainly focused on basic noun sentences like “I am a student.” In this Beginner 2 course, we will start using verb and adjective sentences, so you can express more ideas in Japanese.

I strongly believe that learning Japanese in Japanese is the fastest way to improve. This is the standard method used in Japanese language schools in Japan, and I have been teaching this way for a long time, so there’s nothing to worry about.

Also, if you have already studied Japanese on your own but haven’t had opportunities to practice speaking, this course will help you improve your conversation skills. While I will speak mostly in Japanese using what you have already learned, if something is too difficult to explain clearly with the vocabulary and grammar covered in the course, I will provide explanations in English. So don’t worry!

Of course, if there’s something you really don’t understand, I will explain it in English, so don’t worry! I have taught many complete beginners who started from zero, and I have conducted over 7,000 lessons, so you can feel confident and relaxed in my classes😊
